About Magic Pest & Lawn
A local Austin company, since 2010.
Neal Kezar started Magic Pest and Lawn in 2010, after growing up around the pest control business with his father. It’s still locally owned and run from South Austin. In 2022, Austin readers voted us one of the Best of Austin.
Today a team of about fifteen technicians and office staff handles pest, rodent, wildlife, and lawn work across Austin and 26 surrounding towns. Most of our customers are on recurring service, so the same neighborhoods see our trucks every week. That's how we keep routes tight and response times short.
We explain what we're doing and why. If a pest needs a different treatment than you expected, we'll tell you. If it's something we don't do, we'll say so right away.
2:48What to expect from a visit
- An email reminder the day before
- A text or call when your technician is on the way
- If no one's home, your technician waits until 20 minutes past the scheduled time and leaves a door hanger
- A clear note on what was treated and any conditions to fix
- An invoice you can pay online

Straight answers
What we don’t do
We’d rather tell you up front than send you a quote for the wrong thing.
Heat treatments for bed bugs
We treat bed bugs with a chemical program that reaches the whole home.
Active termite infestations or WDI reports
We do preventative termite treatment. For home sales and active termites, call a termite specialist.
Mowing, aeration, reseeding, or yard maintenance
Our lawn work is chemical: weed control, fertilizer, and treatments for lawn insects and disease, plus weed control for xeriscape and rock beds.
Lawn treatments in July and August
It's too hot for weed treatments to work without stressing the turf. We pick back up in September.
Reviews
Austin’s highest-rated pest control company on Yelp
“Brent C was amazing. Not only did he thoroughly spray our home, but he took the time to explain the root causes behind the issues we were seeing and just as importantly, what wasn’t contributing to them. His depth of knowledge really stood out, acting more like an advisor and consultant than just a technician.”
“Brent did a great job. He was thorough and knowledgeable about the service and what needed done.”
“I highly recommend Magic Pest and Lawn. Booking was super easy. Brent showed up on time. He was very thorough, paying special attention to areas that scorpions could enter my home. With the heat and drought going on in Austin outdoor critters decided to move in and make themselves comfortable in my space. Magic Pest is my line of defense. Give them a call, you will sleep better.”
