Cockroaches · Austin, Texas
American Cockroaches
Large reddish-brown roaches, about the length of your thumb, with a yellowish band behind the head. Adults have full wings and can fly short distances.

Signs you have them
- A big roach in the bathroom or garage, often at night
- Roaches coming up through floor drains
- Dark droppings about the size of a grain of rice
Why it matters
They pick up bacteria in sewers and drains and track it across surfaces. Their droppings and shed skins can trigger allergies and asthma.
How we treat it
A full inside and outside treatment by square footage. We treat the foundation, entry points, and indoor baseboards, and add attic dust if you're seeing more than three or four a week. Drain gel treats the drains they're using.
Prevention
- Keep drain covers in place and run water in unused drains
- Seal gaps around pipes and under doors
- Pull mulch back from the slab
From a customer
“I just brought a new home and was freaked out by the few dead American roaches I saw around. Brent C from Magic was great. He looked into all the areas and was very helpful in pointing out potential areas of entry.”
