Biting & Stinging Pests · Austin, Texas
Bed Bugs
Flat, oval, reddish-brown, about the size of an apple seed. They swell and darken after feeding.
Quick answerMagic Pest & Lawn treats bed bugs in Austin and 26 nearby towns as their own treatment, quoted before we start. Text a photo to 512-203-0525 for a quick quote.
Signs you have them
- Bites in rows or clusters after sleeping
- Rusty blood spots on sheets
- Dark spots and shed skins along mattress seams
- A sweet, musty odor in heavy infestations
Why it matters
Itchy bites, lost sleep, and fast spread to other rooms and neighboring units.
How we treat it
A chemical treatment of the whole home, never just one room. A second treatment two weeks later is required to catch newly hatched bugs. We don't do heat treatments. A $55 inspection is available first and is credited toward treatment.
Good to knowIf you see activity within 30 days of the second treatment, the third visit is free.
Prevention
- Check hotel beds and luggage racks when you travel
- Don't bring home curbside furniture
- Use mattress encasements after treatment
Questions
How do I prepare for treatment?+
Wash and dry all bedding and clothes from the affected rooms on high heat and bag them. Declutter floors and under beds. Don't move items to other rooms, which spreads bugs. Everyone, including pets, stays out for 2 to 4 hours after treatment.
Do you treat apartments?+
Yes. Tell us if you share walls with other units. Treating only one unit won't solve a building-wide problem, so we'll talk with you or your property manager about neighboring units.
